FLIES FOR PIKE

Pike and predator flies
there is a lot of rubbish talked about when it comes to pike flies and most of it seems to stem around somebody catching a big fish on pattern x or whatever is in vogue at the time to be honest getting your fly in front of a fish is half the battle whether or not you can tempt it to take is the other .
Below is some of my favoured flies and flies I wouldn’t leave home without of course you favourite flies may be completely different to to what ive listed here but that’s your choice and you will have your own favourites this is just a rough guide and nothing scientific I mean if you had one fly that caught every cast you’d soon get bored then it would be called catching not fishing.

Sometimes the chase is better than the catch”
SYNTHETICS
most of the flies in the synthetic section compose of flies made with gliss and glint plus simply because its a marvellous medium to work with and has a fine angel hair like material running through it and makes some fantastic flies . I have listed the recipe below each fly of course you can chop and change the recipe as you like . Ill be adding to this section so please keep checking back
