http://pikeflyfishingarticles.blogspot.com had a really great article about the plipper fly with a step by step done on a tube fly so i liked the idea and had a bash at a couple using 4/0 hooks instead of tubes im mainly thinking jacks on the suface down my local canal here is the result

i can just see this being hit on the surface

lots of leggy action and popping going on love it
